Laniado Hospital does not stop innovating and implementing advanced methods to save lives. After the success of giving whole blood by the IDF Medical Corps, a method that has been proven many times in the field, we decided to adopt this advanced approach in our surgery rooms as well.
Recently, we treated an emergency case of a patient in the age of 70s, who suffered a complex fracture and lack of platelets and red blood cells. Thanks to the administration of whole blood doses in a short time, his state improved and the emergency surgery was successfully performed, saving his leg from a critical condition.
The same is true in our shock room: whole blood doses allow our team to save the lives of patients suffering from complex trauma. We recently received a man after a work accident, during which he was injured by a disk that cut the carotid arteries very deeply. The doses of whole blood that we gave him in the shock room allowed us to stabilize his condition immediately and to continue treatment in the surgery room.
Laniado Hospital is committed to continuing to lead in a combination of medical innovation, creative thinking and excellent service for the benefit of its patients.
