Dr. Yoav Geva has recently been appointed to manage Internal Medicine Department B at Laniado Hospital.
Dr. Geva is a senior physician with extensive experience in the fields of internal medicine and cardiology. Until recently, he served as the head of the internal medicine department at Wolfson Hospital; in the past he served in many senior positions, including: physician in charge of the intensive care department, head of the echocardiography unit, catheterization cardiologist, and more.
Dr. Geva served as a senior physician in the reserves (Lieutenant Colonel (res.)), and has also been a lecturer for many years at the Faculty of Medicine at Tel Aviv University, where he serves as a senior faculty member. For about 30 years, Dr. Geva dealt with managing and teaching generations of students, interns, and resident physicians, is a partner in conducting second-stage exams for residents in internal medicine and cardiology, and was a member of the Ethics Committee at the Israel Medical Association for about 13 years.
Upon assuming the position of director of the department, Dr. Geva was also appointed as a chairman of the institutional morbidity committee at Laniado Hospital and a member of the residency committee. Dr. Geva is coming full circle upon assuming the position. About twenty-five years ago, Dr. Geva served as a cardiology resident at Laniado Hospital, continued his illustrious professional career, and today he is returning to manage one of the largest internal medicine departments.
