NEW SHELTERED EMERGENCY HOSPITAL
Laniado Hospital is launching its strategic five-year plan, centered around the construction of a fully sheltered Emergency Hospital, designed to ensure full functional continuity in all emergency scenarios. The project, planned with a forward-looking vision and in line with the demographic growth in the area, will be built between 2026–2029 at a total cost of approximately $77 million. So far, approximately $49 million has been raised for its benefit, and the Ministries of Finance and Health are involved in its partial funding and its compliance with the strictest standards.
An Underground Emergency Hospital
The project’s infrastructure will include 3 underground floors with a total area of approximately 181,000 square feet. This vast space will serve routinely as a spacious parking lot for hospital visitors, but in times of need and emergencies, it will be quickly converted into the sheltered Emergency Hospital that will absorb additional inpatient wards.
A Modern and Expanded Emergency Department Floor
Above the underground floors, a sheltered emergency department floor will be built with an area of approximately 43,000 square feet, designed to replace the currently crowded infrastructure. The emergency department floor will include:
State-of-the-Art Sheltered Operating Rooms System
Above the emergency department floor, a sheltered operating rooms floor will be built, equipped to the highest market standards. The floor will include 10 operating rooms (including two hybrid rooms), alongside reception and preparation areas, waiting spaces, and modern recovery rooms—all fully sheltered against missile and rocket threats.
