The Tessler Academic School of Nursing at the Sanz Medical Center – Laniado Hospital presents: 100% success rate and the highest average exam score in Israel!

For decades, the Tessler Academic School of Nursing at the Sanz Medical Center – Laniado Hospital has operated two professional training tracks for ultra-Orthodox women who seek to pursue a career as academic nurses in Israel’s healthcare system: a full academic program in collaboration with the Ruppin Academic Center, and a program for academic degree holders seeking to transition into nursing. The school is known for its high academic standards and uncompromising professional requirements, ensuring graduates possess the knowledge and skills necessary to save lives and improve quality of life.

Upon graduation, students take the national nursing licensing exam administered by the Ministry of Health—an exam required for professional certification. In the most recent exam, 100% of the students passed successfully, achieving the highest average score in the country: 88, compared to the national average of 81. This is an exceptional academic achievement, especially given the challenging wartime conditions during the study period.

Dr. Esther Strauss, Director of the Nursing School, stated:
“I am extremely proud of our students. Although this is not the first time we’ve seen such remarkable success, each time it inspires our ongoing daily efforts. Our students benefit from practical training within the walls of Laniado Hospital, and suitable graduates are often offered positions upon graduation. I truly believe our graduates enter the workforce equipped with the most comprehensive set of tools they need to provide life-saving and life-enhancing nursing care.”

Mr. Nadav Chen, CEO of the Sanz Medical Center – Laniado Hospital, congratulated the staff and graduates, saying:
“This success is the result of countless hours of teaching, mentoring, individual tutoring, and intensive hands-on training in the hospital’s departments and units, in collaboration with our medical teams. The students’ achievements also reflect their significant personal investment. Ultimately, their success is a success for the entire healthcare system.”
