Dr. Beer-Gabel is an expert with an international reputation in the field of gastroenterology, pelvic floor, dull pelvic pain and problems in the field of sphincter control. Dr. Beer-Gabel has recently finished his position as the head of the Neuro-Gastroenterology and Pelvic Floor Unit at Sheba Tel Hashomer Hospital and previously headed the Gastroenterology Institute at Kaplan Hospital.
Dr. Beer-Gabel completed his medical studies and internship at the University of Nancy in France. Dr. Beer-Gabel treats gastro and pelvic floor problems with a unique approach that sees the intestine as the second most important organ after the spine in the context of the connection between the body and the brain.
- “There are one hundred million neurological cells in the intestine,” – explains Dr. Beer-Gabel. – “This fact obliges me as a doctor to take a holistic view of the patient. I want to check the medical history and, no less important than that, what is expected of various physical processes in the future such as pregnancies in women. Treatment of common problems such as hemorrhoids or lack of control over sphincters, which does not take into account all the relevant parameters, produces effective treatment in the short term, which may be ineffective at best and even worse, in the long term”.
