Laniado Hospital provides care to approximately 500,000 residents of Netanya, the Sharon and the Triangle, from all sectors of Israeli society. The hospital staff also consists of an extraordinary Israeli mosaic of Jews and Arabs, religious and secular, new immigrants and veteran Israelis, men and women, young and old, alongside men and women with various disabilities.

The period of dealing with the corona crisis has brought to the table of the hospital management the urgent need to upgrade and expand the general intensive care unit that has been operating in the hospital for about twenty years. While dealing with the corona plague, the staff of the intensive care unit fought for the lives of hundreds of patients from the Sharon area and the lives of many patients from around the country who sought to reach Laniado Hospital, following the good name that went to the hospital.

General Manager of Niado Hospital Nadav Chen: “The intensive care unit is the ward to which the most difficult patients in the hospital come. “Building a new ward, with the latest equipment, will boost the hospital’s ability to provide a fast, high-quality and professional response to patients living in Netanya and the entire Sharon region.”

The new intensive care unit will have 18 beds and will contain advanced systems and infrastructure, physiological monitors that will monitor the patient’s condition in real time and transmit to the nurses’ position and the patient’s file. The positions are secured and protected from remote burglary, an advanced tool that Niado is one of the few hospitals in the country to purchase.

The new intensive care unit will also have: an advanced X-ray camera that captures and transmits in real time to the patient’s bag, and a portable 4D ultrasound that can be used to scan the heart, brain, abdomen, bones.
