This week we celebrated the 110th birthday of dear Mrs. Tzila Cohen in the geriatric wing!
Here are some facts you didn’t know about Tzila:
โข She was born in 1914 in the town of Krasnik in Poland, and at the age of 21 came to Tel Aviv as a young pioneer.
โข In 1958 she participated in the exciting ceremony of laying the cornerstone for the Kiryat Sanz neighborhood in Netanya – an important step in the history of the city.
โข Until the age of 90, she walked every morning from the Sharon Mall area to the sea in Netanya, and at the age of 102 she lived alone almost without help!
โข She is a part of the founding generation of the city of Netanya. She built the city with hard work and great faith.
โข Tzila had the privilege of raising a second generation of sons – Ya’akov (80) and Beni (76), who were joined by 5 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
In the middle of the celebration, we surprised Tzila with an emotional greeting from the president of the country, who wished her good luck and lots of happiness, adding that an old man is a rabbi who bought wisdom. There is no doubt that Tzila, with all her years, has become a smart and impressive figure who has given the city and its work much more than just years.
We also congratulate dear Tzila and wish her good and strong health, happiness from the children and a happy life.
