The branch agreement between the Adelson Faculty of Medicine and Laniado Hospital, which is a clinical field of the faculty, has born fruit.
Prof. Shai Ashkenazi, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, has decided to appoint the Medical Director of Laniado Hospital, Prof. Zvi Shimoni to the position of Deputy Dean of Teaching and the Deputy Director of the Department of Pediatrics at Laniado Hospital, Dr. Nechama Sharon to the position of Head of the Department of Pediatrics.
These appointments enable the staff at Laniado Hospital to deepen the quality of clinical teaching, extend teaching hours, and maintain industry research relationships in diverse clinical areas, with researchers both within and outside the faculty.
Currently, dozens of students are undergoing the various stages of clinical training in most departments of Laniado Hospital, and the collaboration is expected to continue from strength to strength in additional areas of research and teaching.
Prof. Shai Ashkenazi, Dean of the School of Medicine at Ariel University, congratulated Prof. Shimoni and Dr. Sharon on their academic appointments and said he looks forward to fruitful cooperation between the institutions of Israel’s future physicians with an emphasis on professionalism and humanity.
Mr. Nadav Chen, CEO of Laniado Hospital, congratulated Prof. Shimoni and Dr. Sharon on the appointment and said, “The collaboration between the Adelson Faculty of Medicine at Ariel University and Laniado Hospital is a strategic collaboration whose overarching goal is training the future generation of doctors in the State of Israel. Especially during this period everyone understands the need to absorb quality and skilled manpower in the field of medicine, only recently a government decision was made on the subject. We will do our best to train physicians with excellent clinical knowledge and experience. “
