Cooperation between Meuhedet HMO and Laniado Hospital
Senior officials of Meuhedet HMO in the Sharon Region recently toured Laniado Hospital. The tour was designed to deepen the strategic cooperation between the hospital and the sick fund.
The tour was attended by the Sharon Regional Director Ms. Yael Farhi, Dr. Margarita Rubinstein, Deputy Medical Director in the Central District, Dr. Giovanna Malka and Dr. Assaf Ray – medical directors of the Meuhedet Clinics in Netanya. The senior staff on behalf of Meuhedet was received by the medical director, Prof. Zvi Shimoni, the hospital accountant Mr. Itzik Weiss, the director of the children’s department Dr. Mordechai Ben Akon, the director of the ambulatory system Ms. Shari Farkash, the director of the service and patient experience unit Ms. Noa Lamel and other senior officials. The tour focused on the services of the children’s wing and the dialysis department. Dr. Ben Akon presented to the participants the significant development that the children’s department is undergoing, both in the field of recruiting reputable personnel, both in the field of shortening queues and in the field of opening new services.
The participants toured the children’s wing and the new maternity center, which includes 12 delivery rooms, a gynecological examination and a protected and equipped prematurity unit. Prof. Zvi Shimoni, the medical director of Laniado Hospital, greeted the representatives of Meuhedet and said “We are a community hospital that considers the connection with the sick funds to be of utmost importance, both for the patients and families, both for the staff who wish to exchange information and be updated, and in the aspect of economic development of the hospital. We will continue these kinds of meetings in the future as well, in order to provide the best medical care in the hospital and in the community, to all patients.”
