A BEACON OF LIGHT AMIDST THE CONFLICT: LANIADO HOSPITAL DEDICATES NEW SHELTERED MATERNITY C DEPARTMENT

Driven by a dramatic, tens-of-percent spike in births during Operation “Lion’s Roar,” Laniado Hospital has officially opened its brand-new, fully missile-secured sheltered maternity C department. The hospital’s President, the revered Sanz Rebbe, arrived on short notice to affix the traditional Mezuzah, host a celebratory “L’chaim” gathering, and offer his blessings to the medical teams and new mothers.

While the Israeli home front navigates the challenges of Operation “Lion’s Roar,” the Sanz Medical Center – Laniado Hospital has chosen to respond with an abundance of life, light, and hope. Thanks to Laniado’s fully fortified, bomb-proof delivery rooms and maternity wings—which offer maximum safety during wartime—the hospital has recorded a dramatic tens-of-percent surge in births since the beginning of the campaign. Thousands of expectant mothers from Netanya, the Sharon region, and across the entire country have chosen Laniado as the safest place to bring new life into the world.

To provide an immediate, professional, and welcoming response to this blessed influx, and to ensure the highest standards of inpatient care under total protection, the hospital administration made a swift strategic decision: to immediately open the new, fully secured inpatient department – sheltered maternity C department.

The Mezuzah Dedication and Presidential Visit

To mark this historic milestone, the President of the Medical Center, the Sanz Rebbe, arrived on short notice. The Rebbe’s arrival in the midst of the ongoing conflict sparked immense excitement among the hospital administration, medical staff, and families alike.

The Rebbe was honored with affixing the Mezuzah at the entrance of the new sheltered maternity C department. He then toured the facility, spending significant time speaking with the new mothers and their families, inquiring with deep sensitivity about their well-being, their experiences, and how they were feeling during these tense days. The overjoyed families expressed their profound gratitude for the high sense of security and the dedicated care they received.

A “L’chaim” Celebration and Blessings for the Staff

Following the dedication, an uplifting “L’chaim” gathering was held in the ward. The Sanz Rebbe shared words of encouragement and bestowed his heartfelt blessings upon the hospital administration and medical staff—including physicians, midwives, nurses, and support teams. He praised them for working day and night with ultimate devotion and courage, continuing to spearhead the vision of the hospital’s founder, the late Sanz Rebbe (of blessed memory), to provide top-tier professional medicine alongside human compassion at all times.

Officials at Laniado note that opening the sheltered maternity C department during such an emergency is a direct testament to the hospital’s resilience and the unwavering support of Friends of Laniado in Israel and worldwide. This vital support enables the hospital to develop fortified, life-saving spaces, ensuring that future generations can be born in safety and peace.
