Lighting Israel

In honor of the State of Israel’s 70th anniversary, and as part of Laniado Hospital’s growth and development program and its desire to strengthen its ties with the residents of Netanya, the hospital and the Municipality of Netanya organized an outdoor exhibition & Illuminating Israel, which was exhibited during Sukkot 5779, September 2018 in the Independence Square in Netanya.

The exhibition featured 70 menorahs, modeled on Israel’s national emblem, the seven- branched candelabrum. They were designed by artists from the Netanya Artists Association, art majors at the city’s high schools, celebrities from Netanya and others. The menorahs stood 1.30m high and measure 1 m across. The Menorahs were created from STB boards on Iron base.

They were created in one central compound as a “Design Biennale”; The city residents were invited to come and take part in this special, colorful celebration.

The works of art were sold at a pre-sale to donors and friends of Laniado Hospital in Israel and abroad.  After the exhibition, a testimonial event and sale of the remaining menorahs were held for hospital donors and businesspeople from Netanya.

All the proceeds were dedicated to building the new Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Laniado.  With the help of your generous donation, we will be able to bring many new lives into the world, while spreading light to the Jewish people and the State of Israel in honor of its 70th anniversary.

Each Donor purchasing a Menorah will get a receipt for tax deduction issued by the hospital.
